With a relaxing garden restaurant, overlooking a sunny outdoor patio and a bar area complete with pub games, The Olde Sun offers characterful original features, log fires and rustic décor which all add to its ‘village pub’ charm.

Take a seat and relax in one of our two cosy bar areas while our friendly staff serve you a glass of your favourite tipple, whether a delightful flavoured gin or a cold pint of local ale. Or for those who those seeking first class dining experience, The Olde Sun’s delicious seasonal menu and impressive beverage selection are available in both the Lounge Restaurant and the Garden Restaurant. A perfect setting for a romantic meal, catch up with friends or a family occasion.

Steeped in history, The Olde Sun has long been a destination for villagers and weary travellers looking to enjoy a meal and a drink or two in the scenic village of Nether Heyford. A village where maypole dancing, craft shows and village fetes are still alive and thoroughly enjoyed.

Today, the welcoming bar area and comfortable garden restaurant offers guests a traditional pub setting, but with a thoroughly modern offering. THe chef uses locally sourced produce and seasonal vegetables to create a plethora of classic and original dishes, sure to tempt even the fussiest of eaters. This accompanied with a well-stocked bar, complete with local ales, craft beers and flavoured gins, means that The Olde Sun continues to be a haven for visitors from far and wide.

The Olde Sun is a free house pub with 4 cask ales, including one featured guest ale, which is changed weekly – there’s always a new ale for you to enjoy.

High quality lunches and dinners are served every day in the two bars, restaurant or garden.

Daily Specials, Sunday Roasts and much more – all part of the regularly changing menu of excellent, home-cooked food.

There is a large spacious, child-friendly garden at the rear, perfect for summer barbecues.
