“My nan Florrie Coles would have been 111 today. This is the Nether Heyford pensioners club in 1989. She came to live with us in 1985 from London and was welcomed into the village by all these lovely people. She is 7th from the left front row, in black. Anyone recognise their relatives ?”

Nether Heyford Garage Sale – NOW Spring 2021

UPDATE – POSTPONED UNTIL SPRING 2021

Nether Heyford Village Hall are pleased to announce the return of the popular Village Garage Sale in 2020.  Sunday 19th April 2020 – 10am – 4pm

BUYERS: The village hall is the place for buyers to start at 10am, when doors open and the map of all the registered garages is available.

Refreshments & maps available in the village hall throughout the day from 10am to 4pm.

SELLERS: It costs only £7.50 to register your garage on the map. Please contact either Eve or Patricia before the closing date of Sunday 5th April.

Nether & Upper Heyford Home Guard (WW2)

The Home Guards met twice a week in the yard of the Foresters Arms, where they had their stores. The Commanding Officer was Charlie Highfield, chosen because of his army career.
